Uber introduces 'No Mask, No Ride' policy
The ride-hailing company, Uber, has announced a ‘No Mask, No Ride’ policy for drivers and their passengers.
All passengers are now required to wear a face covering or mask and sit in the back on every ride. Drivers can now cancel trips if passengers do not wear one, or report it in the app, which risks loss of access and deactivation of accounts.
All Uber drivers are also required to wear masks, and passengers are able to report non-compliance.
Passengers are also being asked to roll down the windows to keep air circulating, and to handle their own baggage.
